She is preceded in death by loving husband, George Doan; daughter, Donna Smith; son, George Doan; and five grandchildren, Skeeter, Lil George, Barbara Sue, Harper and Sarah.

She was known as Granny to anyone that met her. She took care of anyone that ever-needed help. She would work all day then come home, cook and tend to everyone else. Family was the most important thing to her. She loved for her house to be full of her kids, grandkids, neighborhood kids, and their families. She always wanted all the grandkids to stay at her house and she would take them to church, then come home and cook a large Sunday meal. She also loved her slot machines, going to the casino, watching game shows and dogs. She will forever be remembered for her cooking, especially her chicken n dumplings, her kindness and love for all.
Celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 12th, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. with a visitation one hour prior at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home and burial to follow at Woodson Cemetery.
