Shane Lynn Mathis of Benton was born on September 18, 1979. He left us all with grieving hearts on Sunday, November 29, 2009. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bob Parker. He was born to Dee Anne Barnes and Gaylon Mathis. Shane was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his brothers and his girls.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Dee Lockert and dad Tony Parker of Benton; stepfather, Charlie Lockert; brothers, Jason and Megan Parker of Benton, Anthony and Jessica Parker of Little Rock, Adam Parker of Benton and Cody Lockert of Little Rock; his beautiful daughters, Fallon, Lyndee and Lillie Mathis and their mother, Taylor of Benton; grandparents, Donald and Marilyn Barnes of Benton; two very special uncles, Phillip Hattabaugh and Gary McLehaney of Benton; aunts and uncles, Donna and Bill Bradley of Benton, Dana and Randy Smith of Benton and Darla and Nathan Tiner of Benton; half sister, Michelle Mathis of Mayflower; paternal grandparents, Don and Jo Reithbaum of Mayflower; many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends; and a special friend Paula Duer.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home 4212 Hwy 5 North Bryant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
