Obituary

Steven Lee Reed, 62, of Bauxite, Arkansas was born on Wednesday, March 13th, 1963, in Lake Village, Arkansas, and he entered heaven on Tuesday, March 17th, 2025. He brought smiles to everyone by telling jokes and making people laugh.

Steven was a hard worker and  worked for Semcoa Bauxite Mining for 13 years. Steven was known for his kind heart and infectious smile. He had a passion for the Razorbacks on Saturdays and the Cowboys on Sundays. He also enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, and spending time with his grandkids! His ability to light up a room will be deeply missed. Steven worked for Semcoa Bauxite Mining for 13 years

Steven leaves behind cherished memories with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Donald Higgins; his mother, Vernice "Snooter'' VanStory Reed; father, Ken Reed;  and grandparents, Oscar and Nelly Reed and Joe "Poppy" Van Story and Ellen "Doodie."  Boyd VanStory; He is survived by his wife, Janet Reed; two daughters, Jennifer Duncan and Taylor Skarda; brothers, Bruce (Brenda) and Scott (Holly); sister, Susan (Wayne); nine grandchildren, Jessica, Allen, Magen, Julia, Macy, Zack, Zoie, Braxton, and Hagan; three great-grandchildren, Teagan, Charlotte, and Faelynn; and numerous nieces and nephews and family and friends.

A celebration of Steven's life will be held on Saturday, March 29th, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Wrights Chapel Church, followed by a potluck in his honor.

Rest in peace, Steven.
