Susan S. Schaffer, 58 of Alexander, passed away November 18, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born January 19, 1957 to Thomas J. Shaw and Grace Mizell in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Susan loved traveling, scuba diving, white water canoeing, being outdoors and fishing.
She retired from UAMS College of Health Related Professions.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas "Tom" Shaw.
She is survived by her loving husband of twenty-two years, Anthony Schaffer; two children, Jennifer Crawford (Ronnie) and Nicholas Shurtleff (Erin); two step children, David Schaffer and Kris Schaffer (Torissa); five grandchildren, Dusty, Destiny, Riley, Keegan, and Kinley; brother, Richard Shaw (Carol); mother, Grace Shaw; niece, Wendy Shaw; nephew, David Shaw, and a host of family and friends who all loved her and will miss her dearly.
Memorial service on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home in Bryant.
