Sven Albin Swanson 79, of Little Rock passed away on October 30, 2020.  He was born on March 21, 1941 to the late, Albin and Lela Swanson in Jackson, Mississippi.  Sven proudly served in the United States Army for many years. Sven Albin Swanson, Sr., retired U.S. Army 1 ^st SGT with 28 years of honorable service.  He was assigned to the 101 ^st Airborne All American Division and later served in the 82nd Airborne, Screaming Eagles. Served two combat tours in Vietnam, one combat tour in Dominican Republic and tour in Korea and Hawaii.  He received two Purple Hearts. He was honored to serve his country.  Sven was an incredibly good provider and a good man to all his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; daughter, Nahaliel Hon Swanson and his grandson, Cain Williams.

Sven is survived by his loving wife, Cathy Bobo Swanson; son, Rusty Swanson "Deana"; sister, Nilla Swanson McIntyre; five grandchildren, Natalie, Austin, Eric, Al and Brooke; seven great grandchildren and a host of family and friends who all love him and will miss him dearly.
