IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Terence Patrick
Bass Iii
January 19, 1939 – June 4, 2021
Terence Patrick Bass III age 82 of North Little Rock, AR was surrounded by family in prayer and worship as he exchanged his earthly body for his new glorified body on June 4, 2021. He was born in Little Rock, AR on January 19, 1939. He was raised in Gillett, AR and graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He became a well-respected engineer for the Soil Conservation Service. He designed projects throughout Oklahoma and Arkansas. Too many accomplishments to name. He loved engineering. His home office was amidst the chaos of his busy family where he puffed on his ever-familiar pipe. He was an analytical thinker, entrepreneur and investor. Even in his teens he had a hobby airplane store. He created Bass Engineering and invested in businesses for his son and stepsons: surveying, painting, sprinkler systems, remodeling, home inspection and property investing. He was a consummate provider. His love and support were always ready. The granddaughters described him as constant, embracing, humble, legendary and most of all Christ like. If you ever had the privilege of meeting our Daddy, Papa Bass, then you were forever changed. His life was an investment of faith, love, friendship, belief and true joy in each person he encountered. He was an honest man. He made you feel you were of great value. He had a funny sense of humor, even if the joke was on him. However, we cannot remember hearing him say a slur against anyone. He loved his family like crazy and was ready to shoot a game of pool, play on the floor with his grandkids, share a good movie, watch any Razorback sport, camp, hunt and enjoy ketchup with every meal. He loved his Catholic faith and served in Stephen's Ministry at St. Anne's Catholic Church. He was a man of great faith without ever preaching. He was a mentor to many and did not even realize it. However, the greatest "Engineering Accomplishment" was the family he built as Papa Bass.He has created family large enough to have:5 baseball teams 4 football teams (or soccer) 10 basketball teams or almost 2 D1 swim teams More than the number of men to sign the constitution and more kids/grandkids than presidents. So basically, he has created enough to dominate sports or create and rule a country for more than 289 years!!!! Total of 51 "offspring" including spouses on all sides. And he loves us all. He was our Superhero! He was preceded in death by his parents, Terence and June Bass and his stepson, Reese Crow. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, former wife and family friend, Carolyn Browning, his children, Beth Warrior (Manuel), Mary Nelson (Ron), Martha Steinmetz (David), Patricia Bass, Debbie Pharr (Mark), Patrick Bass (Britteny), stepchildren, Paul Crow, Anne Galanides (Paul), Stephen Crow (Heather) and brother, Lee Bass (Agnes). He leaves behind 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. The love of our daddy, Papa Bass makes it easy to accept the love of our Heavenly Father. Because we believe in Jesus, Daddy, we will see you again. Our family wishes to thank the amazing doctors and staff at CARTI and Springhill Baptist Hospital, North Little Rock, AR for the wonderful care and courtesy extended to our family, especially the kind and attentive bedside manner of Dr. David Bevans. Family Rosary, Wednesday, June 9 at 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass, Thursday, June 10, 10:00 AM all at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 6150 Remount Road, North Little Rock, AR 72118. and will be laid to rest in Gillete, AR Cemetery.
