IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tommy Guy
Gilliam
January 30, 1946 – March 19, 2021
Tommy Guy Gilliam Sr, age 75 of Little Rock, completed his earthly journey on March 19, 2021. He was born on January 30, 1946 in Little Rock to his parents, Bill and Maggie Gilliam. He is preceded by his parents, sister Carolyn Creasey as well as his best friend and brother Bill Gilliam Jr. Tommy is survived by his loving wife Charlotte Gilliam of 56 years; daughter Michele Bearden and her husband Michael; son T.J. Gilliam and his wife Melanie; three grandchildren Ethan Bearden, Trey Gilliam and Mary Claire Gilliam and mother-in-law Mary "Boo Boo" Murry, along with a host of relatives and friends. Tommy, or 'Big T" as we called him, was a 1964 graduate of Mabelvale High School, was a long-time, active member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church, a farmer and served 37 years in the Arkansas Army National Guard at Camp Robinson and Ft Chaffee. He retired at age 60 as a Master Sergeant. He also worked at Camp Robinson in North Little as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed working on the farm, driving his tractors, going on rides to just "look around" and taking RV trips to the beach with his wife, brother and sister-in-law. He really loved to help others when he had the opportunity. Whether he was guiding the soldiers under his watch or providing food for a neighbor in need, he didn't back away from offering to help. He was truly a servant. There are many thing in life that Tommy was proud of, but nothing beat just being "Pop" to his three grandkids. He loved them so much and loved to take them out on the farm, be a climbing jungle gym for them, hear their voice on the phone or go support them by being present and giving advice in the things they were involved in. Tommy, Big T, MSG, Pop, has completed his journey here on earth, but his eternal journey in Heaven has just begun. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 23, 2021 between 5 P.M. and 7 P.M. Celebration of life will be Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 10 A.M. at Dial & Dudley Funeral Home. To sign the online guestbook visit our website at www.dialanddudleyfuneralhome.com
