Vanessa Steves 65, passed away on December 23, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born on October 20, 1954 to the late R.A. and Virginia Muse in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a disaster relief volunteer for the Red Cross for many years. Vanessa also loved raising her grandchildren, family, and animals. She worked at Baptist BRI as an I.A. and was devout in her faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and stepmother Wanda Muse.

Vanessa is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Michael Steves; son Gregory Dane Shaw; grandchildren Lydia, Tyson, Ella, Addison, and Beckett; sister Dorothy Ann Daniels "Howard"; brother Don Muse "Lynn"; beloved dog Xenia; numerous cats; and a host of other family and friends who all loved her dearly and will miss her very much.
