Vaughn Jefferson Childress, 88 of Little Rock, passed away September 15, 2017. He was born to the late, Sylvester and Winnie Childress in Redfield, Arkansas on April 3, 1929. He loved singing, reading his bible, and playing his guitar. He was a pastor at Benton Pentecostal Church of God for 37 years. He loved the Lord and his family.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Helen Childress; his parents, six brothers and one sister.
Survived by two daughters, Becky Elliott (Jeff) and Vickie Powell (Darryl), three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, three sisters, and a host of family and friends who love and miss him dearly.
Celebration of life will be held at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 12:00 P.M. with visitation the night prior from 6-8 P.M.
