Wallis Kight, age 70, of Benton passed away on April 16, 2017. He was born to the late, Calvin Dodd and Maxine Fay Kight on September 16, 1946 in Las Vegas, New Mexico. He was a born again Christian and a member of Victory Baptist Church for many years. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. where he was wounded in Vietnam and received a purple heart. He was employed as a machinist at Cameron, Little Rock for over 40 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Anna Kight; daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Vela; three step-sons, Floyd Dodson, Gary Dodson and Gregory Dodson; ten grandchildren, Zack, Floyd IV, Beverly, Carrie, Lucy, Emily, Amanda, Nikki, Gregory II, and Christopher; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of family, church family and friends who all love and will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at Victory Baptist Church on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 1:00pm. Visitation will be Wednesday night from 5-7 at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
