Wilson O. (Bill) Whitfield 92 of Benton traveled home and passed from this life on the evening of August 18, 2020 at home.  He was surrounded and supported by his loving family.  Bill worked in the Auto Detail business in Benton, Arkansas.  He loved to travel, mow lawns,  singing and fishing.  Bill never met a stranger.  His love of singing was a joy and a blessing to everyone that he knew.  His faith and dedication in going to church even when he fell ill was an inspiration to us all.  He loved playing the guitar.  Bill was joined in marriage to Dorothea Evelyn Shuffield on March 16, 1947.  Bill and Dorothea attended the Zion Hill Church of God in Benton, Arkansas.

He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Dorothea; four children, Nancy Webb and her husband, Paul, Diane Hutchison and her husband, Mike, Larry Whitfield and his wife, Amy and Mark Whitfield and his wife, Tammy; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Jacob, Alicia, Amber, Emily, Heather, Ashley and Chad; sixteen great grandchildren and a host of family and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
