Richard "Dickey" Wallace Emerson, 63, of Benton, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018. He was born to Richard and Elizabeth Emerson on Thursday, September 9, 1954 in Bell Gardens, California. He loved basketball, coloring, and he was a very organized man. He loved his niece and nephew; aka his kids, Dallas and Tye. He was a member of Christ Church and a member of the choir. Dickey was a Special Olympics Athlete, and he loved playing Bocce and winning medals . He also loved his Hot Wheels, watching old shows and movies, listening to his music, and always having to practice his gospel songs. He loved the Mountain at Canton, TX, and being the Sheriff for his Mountain Family. There was never a dull moment that Dickey was not doing something he really loved. He was able to touch so many people by just walking in the room and giving you that smile.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Baby George W. Emerson
He is survived by his loving sister, Rita Archibald; niece, Rachel Standridge; great niece and nephew, Dallas and Tye Standridge; along with a host of other family and friends who love and miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 11:00AM and the visitation will be held the evening prior from 6-8PM at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home.
