Our Beginnings

Dial & Dudley Funeral Home first opened its doors on May 6, 2008. Having managed corporate funeral homes in the area over the last several years, we felt the obligation to the community to bring a more personal touch to the area in which we live and serve, and start a new tradition of funeral service for Saline County and its surrounding areas.

I began my career in the funeral industry working visitations part-time for a small funeral home and immediately knew that this was what I was meant to do with my life. Although I had good job as a tool and die machinist, I knew I had to make a career change. In 2002, I quit my job and enrolled full-time into mortuary college at The Dallas Institute of Funeral Science. At this same time, I was hired full-time by Waldo Funeral Home, a family-owned firm in Sherman, Texas. It was there where I got my foundation in the funeral industry. I was taught by the best and the brightest in the area, and they were able to show me the importance of what we do. They also provided an example of how to treat families with dignity, honor, and respect.

While completing my studies in mortuary college I met and fell in love with a girl from Alexander, Arkansas. I knew from the moment we met that this was the woman that I would spend the rest of my life with. After graduation we were engaged to be married and we decided that we would start our life together in Arkansas, near her family. We were married in 2005 by her father, Pastor George Dudley, who has been the pastor for Christ Church in Alexander for over 30 years. Later that same year we were blessed with the birth of our first child, Mikayla Reynae Dial. In 2007, we were fortunate enough to become parents again with the birth of our son, Hunter James Dial. With our family complete, Reynae and I knew that we needed to open our own family funeral home. Although we were successfully climbing the corporate ladder, we knew this was not our destiny.

At this time fate stepped in again, and we found an empty church that needed something in it. This served two positive purposes... a great location to start our family business and an opportunity to provide a service in a community that did not have a funeral home. From the day we opened the doors, God has blessed my family and this business beyond expectations. We are very pleased and thankful with how well Bryant and Saline county has welcomed us into this community to see what the future holds.

Our mission at Dial and Dudley Funeral Home is to help families start a new tradition in funeral service. Being a family owned funeral home enables us to treat your family with individual care and attention. Each family has different needs during such a difficult time, and it is our goal to meet each and every need completely. We strive to meet each family member and look forward to the relationships and friendships that arise out of our time together.
